Brookhaven Town Republicans Unanimously Re-Elect Garcia Chairman

After taking back the Majority on the Brookhaven Town Board from the Democrats after only two years, Brookhaven Republicans unanimously re-elected Chairman Jesse Garcia for a third time at their re-organization meeting, Sept. 17.

Garcia took over and promptly took control retiring debt inherited from the 2005 elections. Garcia also worked tirelessly to put the party back on the map making almost all elections competitive. He managed to not only increase the number of volunteers, but helped assign them to campaigns to help with creative and informative events designed to educate and inform voters on issues affecting all residents in Brookhaven Town.

Garcia was humbled by the vote of confidence, “From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of the committee people who supported me. Said Garcia, "One of the party’s greatest assets is its committee people!”

Garcia made it a priority to modernize Republican Headquarters by introducing new technology, while at the same time upgrading the communication tools.

“I reaffirmed my commitment to our members.” Said Garcia, “I will always fight for Brookhaven’s interest first and foremost. We are the premier party organization in Suffolk County and we continue to prove it every year at the ballot box!”

Garcia was also instrumental in re-establishing membership drives for the town Republican Clubs.

“The Brookhaven team is outstanding!” Said Garcia, “I’m asking our members to support my slate of Officers: Betty Manzella, Vice Chair, Henry Barton, Secretary, and Tom Kilmartin, Treasurer.”

Garcia and his slate will serve a 2-year term.
