MAZZEI KICKS OFF CAMPAIGN HEADQUARTERS WITH HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS
News from Mazzei for Supervisor
1/13/09

Demonstrating a strong sign of unity, 500+ volunteers packed the house at the official grand opening of the new Mazzei for Supervisor headquarters this past Saturday in Medford. Brookhaven Town Councilman Tim Mazzei (R, C, 5th District) officially kicked off his campaign for Brookhaven Town Supervisor while surrounded by Long Island’s Republican officials, Brookhaven’s veterans, labor unions, law enforcement, senior citizen organizations, and small business owners.
“This is an opportunity to elect one of our own to run Brookhaven like a business,” said Conservative Party Chairman Richard Johannesen. “This is an opportunity to put our best foot forward with Tim----an ethical individual and a repeat tax cutter who was born here, raised here, and has served Brookhaven from his earliest beginnings.”
“It is very obvious to me that we are united. If there is anyone out there who does not believe that we are all together and strong for Tim Mazzei, just look around this room,” Republican Party Chairman Jesse Garcia said to the crowd.
New York State Senators Ken LaValle and John Flanagan rallied the crowd, pledged their support to Mazzei, and urged voters to look at his exemplary 5 year record of cutting their Town taxes and conservative fiscal management.
“I can think of no better individual to honestly and ethically represent Brookhaven residents than Tim Mazzei,” Senator LaValle stated. “Tim’s exemplary record as a public prosecutor and his ability to represent all voices, not just those of his own party, will bring Brookhaven residents the very best in the services they deserve.”
Mazzei, surrounded by his fellow Town Board colleagues and family, was overwhelmed at the supportive turnout. “It takes special people to volunteer and walk door to door, especially in the bitter cold of winter, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Mazzei headquarters will be open 7 days a week, is located at 1900 Route 112, Medford, NY, and can be reached at 631-319-6301.
