Foley Blasted For ‘Disgracing’ Town Seal for Political Gain
Brookhaven GOP Applauds Blue Collar Union Chief For Standing Up To Mud Throwing by Democrat

MEDFORD, NY – Brookhaven Town Republican Chairman Jesse Garcia today applauded the Town’s Blue Collar Union leader for blasting Brian Foley’s disgraceful use of the official Town of Brookhaven seal in a political commercial in a manner that defames the character and integrity of town employees and its residents.

At the October 28 Town Board meeting, Blue Collar Union President Bill Walsh lambasted Foley for using the seal over a sign that said “Crookhaven Town Hall.”

“That’s totally inappropriate. That seal represents the people of this Town, and I’m outraged that you are dragging that seal into the mud of your campaign,” Walsh said. “Every worker in this Town is outraged, and everyone who lives here should be outraged, too.”

“Bill Walsh should be congratulated for defending the honor and reputation of our Town workers and residents. At last night’s meeting he said that he’s mad as hell and isn’t going to take it anymore – and he’s right,” said Garcia. “Every resident of this Town should joining him in this outrage at Brian Foley’s smear campaign, and let him and any other candidate know that this will not be tolerated.

“If anyone is guilty of giving our Town the nickname of Crookhaven it’s Foley and his cohorts, who instituted a ‘pay-for-play’ culture for political cronies in Town hall, and have been mired in scandal after scandal in only two years, from the debacle of U.S. Rail’s illegal clear-cutting of the pine barrens to paying hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to a Democratic national committeeman,” Garcia continued.

“This attack on the character of hundreds of hard working men and women who work hard every day to serve our residents and taxpayers has to stop. What kind of a man tries to elevate himself by lying and tearing down the reputation of others? Usually, it’s a man with no accomplishments of his own, and no shame. Well, shame on you, Brian Foley, and to the rest of the Democratic Machine you have stationed in Town hall. What you are doing is wrong, you know it is wrong, and it’s not going to be tolerated any more,” Garcia said.
