Democrat Party Boss Calls Shots from Audience at Town Board Meeting

Farmingville - Brookhaven Town Republican Chairman Jesse Garcia today blasted Supervisor Brian Foley for blatantly injecting politics into town government after Democratic Party Boss Marshe Lauffer held court and directed democrat operatives at the October 14 town board meeting.

"It's bad enough that Brian Foley has used town hall resources for his failing campaign, with his paid campaign staff roaming the halls and participating in what are supposed to be government events almost daily. But to blatantly have the local Democratic boss in the audience of a town board meeting, directing the party's executive director, former executive director, vice chairman and other operatives is just wrong," said Garcia. "Brian Foley turning town hall into a Democratic clubhouse makes this the darkest day in the history of Brookhaven. Brian Foley is the most morally and ethically corrupt individual to sit in the supervisor's office, and last night clearly showed that."

Since being elected chairman of the Brookhaven Town Republican Committee in March of 2007, Garcia has been at Town Hall once - January 10, 2007, the day the Town Board was issued their oaths of office.
