What was the first thing that Brian Foley did in Albany?

News from the NYS Senate Republican Campaign Committee
02/10/09

In his first vote as a State Senator he took more of your money. He took money from college kids. He took funding to save Long Island jobs.

When the time came to stand up for working class families, Brian Foley sat back and did nothing.

In order to close a $1.6 Billion budget gap from last year, Senator Foley voted to support New York City interests at the cost of Long Island.

You will be paying $400 a year more for health insurance because of his vote.

New York State will rob SUNY students of 90% of a tuition increase that would have gone to Suffolk County Community College and Stony Brook for more teachers, and educational technology. This would have allowed our young people to compete for the jobs of tomorrow, and stay in our community. Instead it is going to feed the Albany bureaucracy.

With one vote over 3000 jobs in Suffolk County are threatened.

When the New York City controlled Senate said jump, Brian Foley asked “how high”.

We need someone who will stand up and fight for us. Someone who will be our voice in Albany when it comes to saying no to new taxes and fees.

Brian Foley cast his first vote; a vote against Long Island and for his New York City bosses.
