A New Years Message from Chairman Jesse Garcia

I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your families the safest and prosperous New Years.  I also want to thank each and every one of our dedicated committee people, volunteers, supporters, candidates and elected officials for the support you have given me and the Brookhaven Town Republican Committee in 2007.

Because of your undying support and tireless work over more than nine months, a New Day dawns in Brookhaven Town when we ring in 2008. 

On January 1st, our newly elected Republican Majority on the Brookhaven Town Board will take the reigns of responsibility and accountability of our Town Government.  Through the proactive efforts of Council members Tim Mazzei, Kathleen Walsh, Jane Bonner and Keith Romaine, the hardworking taxpayers and families that call Brookhaven Town their home will have leaders in place that will make local government more affordable, more efficient, and responsive to the needs of the people.

Each and every one of you who worked on our campaigns in 2007 owns a part of history; you are responsible for the resurgence of our Party and our successful slate of candidates.

Along with our new Republican Majority on the Brookhaven Town Board, we successfully elected Lou Marcoccia as our new Brookhaven Tax Receiver in an open seat, and returned Legislators Dan Losquadro and Ed Romaine along with Sixth District Court Justice Kevin Crowley back to office.

I can assure you that more victories for our party are in our future, as long as we remain united and energized.  I look forward to working with each and every one of you as we grow our party even more in 2008.
