Brookhaven Town Republican Committee’s Successful
2008 Petition Drive Acknowledged: A Message from Chairman Jesse Garcia

I want to take a moment to once again congratulate you – the dedicated Committee Members of the Brookhaven Republican Organization – for your work to make our 2008 Designating Petition Drive one of the most successful in years!

Your tireless effort earned the recognition of not only GOP committees throughout Suffolk County and the Long Island region, it was acknowledged in Newsday on July 13th.

The Brookhaven Town Republican Committee and its Members were recognized for protecting the slim Republican Majority in the New York State Senate and supporting our Town wide incumbent and candidates with huge signature margins.

According to Newsday, the Members of the Brookhaven GOP provided Senator Caesar Trunzo [3rd SD] with, “…1,500 of the 2,200 signatures came from Brookhaven, now nearly half his Senate district.”

In addition, it was noted that, “…Brookhaven committee members also went into Islip to get petitions for Trunzo on the Independence Party line…”

Your contribution to energize and unite the Brookhaven Town Republican Committee were applauded, according to the press, when they stated, “…Brookhaven Republicans filed 7,000 signatures,” for District and county-wide court incumbent judges.

I am proud that Brookhaven Republican Committee Members, on our own and without assistance from any other GOP committees – qualified Senators LaValle and Trunzo; First Congressional District candidate Lee Zeldin; and all the County-wide judicial incumbents.

Congratulations on a great effort. It truly is my honor to serve as the Chairman of the Brookhaven Town Republican Committee.
